Media-Tech Expo
The latest excursion for VinCenzo's sales team was a trip to Las Vegas for the Media-Tech Expo, a media-focused show attended by people involved in media packaging, disc replicating and other aspects of media retailing. Las Vegas! Land of glitter, glamour and miniature-sized pyramids and Eiffel Towers, where fortunes are made and lost in mere minutes!
Held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the show was attended by Vice President of Sales and Marketing Joseph Marlovits and Account Executive Dave Heeman. While the two did have a chance to try their luck at both the sales booth and the craps table, they had to put on hold (for now!) their plans to hold a massive, Ocean's Eleven-style heist of the vaults of three different casinos. What happens in Vegas, after all, is posted on the VinCenzo website.

"There were a lot of people doing unique content at the show, like packaging of music and anime products," said Marlovits. "They liked seeing our products, because we don't just offer one tin but have hundreds of different options."
VinCenzo's ability to create unique, upscale media packaging was on display, and the sample tins offered at the booth represented only a fraction of the possibilities available to clients. Round DVD tins continue to be popular, as clients make use of customized features including colored foam, embossing and transparent printing to create tins that accentuate the distinctiveness of the product they hold.

VinCenzo recently produced a tin for a DVD release of the classic animated series, Speed Racer.
People were also excited to see the VinCenzo Two-Cover Media Tin, a product that stands up for display and offers a wide spine on which the disc's artwork can be printed. "We can create tins that are tailor-made to fit the client's individual projects," Heeman said. "The tin looks good on the shelf and it is something that people want to keep around."

"Besides the chance to show our tins to people who hadn't seen them before, the show was also an opportunity to talk to existing clients," said Heeman. "That allows us to touch base with them and to discuss their current and upcoming projects."
Mmmmm... nachos.
The two also made time for a delicious plate of "Not-Cho Ordinary Nachos," a local delicacy apparently consisting of corn tortilla chips and "about a ton" of cheese, jalapeño peppers and such things. Marlovits confirmed that the nachos were indeed as impressive as their name suggests. "Incredible," he said. "Just incredible."
