| Media Tin Trio |
|
|
| There's nothing like a customized, printed tin to give a media project added value and a sharp appearance. Of the many media tins VinCenzo has produced, three rencent projects show how a media tin can be perfectly suited to the product inside. |

Resident Evil 4
For the latest release in the famed Resident Evil series of video games, VinCenzo produced a special edition tin exclusive to GameStop stores. The starting point was VinCenzo's two-cover media tin, which can stand upright on display, and holds a standard amaray case. The height of the tin was adjusted to accommodate the special edition extras.

Yakuza Papers
This dark and edgy 1970s Japanese series needed a tin to match the gritty, dark underworld it was portraying. The customer elected to use one of VinCenzo's acute corner DVD slipcases, adjusted to accommodate a digipack insert. The tin was done in a black matte finish, with the design reversed out in plain tinplate. The tinplate used was a special textured metal, which gave the slipcase a bit of a grittier feel, to match the tone of the series.

Lastly, in a nod to clean Japanese design, a kanji character was printed on the spine in gloss varnish, maintaining the same color as the rest of the tin, but giving it a slightly different appearance. |

Astro Boy
For an Australian release of the famed Astro Boy series, something more substantial was needed to accommodate the large number of amaray cases involved. A three-piece tin was developed, employing a clinch bottom and a pillow lid to maintain very clean lines. The tin was printed in a transparent red to evoke the bright colors of the series. Astro Boy's familiar visage was printed on the cover, using bold pantone colors to give it a clean, animated look. Lastly, the cover was embossed to give Astro Boy more depth and detail.
