Letters to Santa
The holiday bustle, now in the rear-view mirror, is always intense at VinCenzo. In December, both work and other obligations keep us pretty busy. Of course, nobody said our other obligations couldn't be labors of love. VinCenzo employees celebrated the 2005 holiday season by taking part in the Chicago Sun-Times "Letters to Santa" program. This was the fifth year that VinCenzo has participated in the program, which is part of the newspaper's Season of Sharing campaign to provide underprivileged children with Christmas gifts.
Account Executive Dave Heeman chooses a particularly pink gift -- a skill that will assuredly come in handy someday.

The VinCenzo gang headed over to Target and made a beeline for the toy aisles. Since most of the requests came for children between the ages of five and seven popular items included Dora the Explorer, Barbie accessories and scooters. No fewer than four lucky kids received remote control trucks. (Upon examining the packaging, it was discovered that all four trucks operated on the same frequency... which shouldn't be a problem because surely their teacher won't allow them to play with the toys all at once, all in the same place... right?... right?)
Use the remote to control your truck... and possibly everybody else's, too!
With a caravan of overflowing shopping carts, the group checked out, loaded their cars and promptly went for a lunch of approximately 7 million chicken wings. "This is the best Christmas ever," one employee was heard to say. That afternoon was spent wrapping the presents, which were later dropped off at a local elementary school. Little smiles ensued.  Then some big ones. Job well done.
