Attention... this individual has been known as The Wolf, The Dragon, The Badger and The Possum. Of course, it all depends on how her sales have been for the week, and how charitable her fellows are feeling that day.
Karla Weiss has been with VinCenzo since July of 2003, and is both an Account Executive and our resident Lincoln Park nightlife expert. Karla's originally from Cheney, Kansas (pronounced chee-ny, not like the vice prez) and received her degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Kansas. After working with Enterprise, Karla worked for three years at CDW, where she met Dave Heeman, and was eventually brought into the fold at VinCenzo.
"I wanted to get out of the large corporate scene and into a place where I could be a bigger part of what was going on, helping to shape the department and be a little more involved with my clients," explains Karla. "VinCenzo was looking for salespeople, and I wanted to stay in sales, so the timing was good. I was really excited about the size of the company, and the opportunity to travel."

And travel she has, regularly attending shows in New York and Los Angeles, as well as numerous other cities. In fact, she recently attended the black tie grand reopening of FAO Schwarz in New York, having worked with them to produce a candy tin for FAO Schweetz. But the increased travel and ability to be truly hands-on with her clients haven't been the only changes for Karla. "There have been challenges in going from a big corporation to a smaller company, in terms of how it works internally, but it's so much better."

We can only assume she's at least partially referring to the level of internal competition in the sales department. Karla currently holds a narrow pin average lead over her fellow salespeople in VinCenzo bowling outings, which she tends to lord over them during the weeks when she's The Badger or The Possum. Her peers get their revenge on Metal Fridays, however. "I love wearing jeans to work and listening to metal. Um... being forced to listen to metal."
