Juli and Alesha
The past few months have brought some new faces to VinCenzo, so we'd like to take this opportunity to introduce them. Earlier in the year, we welcomed our new sales coordinator, Alesha Van Linda. Then in June, our new Vice President of Finance, Juli Potjeau, came aboard.
Sheesh, Juli... it's a camera, not an uzi!
Juli comes to us from Advanced Telecommunications Inc., where she spent "five and a half great years," most recently as Director of Project Management. So what brought her to the position of VinCenzo's chief number cruncher? "Well, I graduated with a marketing degree from NIU, but I've always loved finance, and I actually started out as an accounting major. When the opportunity to join VinCenzo came up, I just couldn't let it go." She was also excited by the prospect of working from home a couple of days per week, so that she can spend more time with her little shaver (who's a cutie... but don't take our word for it). "Plus, if anybody has any questions about the phone system, I'm there." Bonus.
Alesha is our resident European in an American's body, tasked with taking VinCenzo to the European market. "My job is to find out where we need to be to maximize our efforts over there." She comes to us from Euromonitor, a British market research firm, where she worked as a Marketing Coordinator for consumer packaged goods. Before that, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin (a Badger!) with a degree in French and minors in global marketing and international relations.
Plus, she's spent three years living in France, including a term of study at the Sciences-Po in Paris. Not surprisingly, the opportunity to spend more time in Europe was a significant factor in her decision to come to VinCenzo. "I love the fact that it's a small office environment, a dare to be great situation, and it gives me the opportunity to spend a lot of time in my favorite place in the world." When asked if there was anything else she wanted to add, she replied, "I'm a Leo, I'm 5'11", and I love my mom." We think that about covers it.
