VinCenzo exhibits at the International Sweets and Biscuits show in Cologne, Germany
Another day, another country. Pleased with the success of November's Emballage show in Paris, the VinCenzo crew is back in Europe, this time at the Sweets and Biscuits show in Germany. Tins are one of the most classic packages for candies and cookies, so what better place for VinCenzo to display our unique designs than at the largest confectionary show in Europe? Nearly 1,500 exhibitors from over 70 countries attended last year's ISM... numbers that make for one massive collective sugar rush.
The Big Vincenz stands in front of Santa... a 10 foot tall chocolate Santa... oooooooohhhhhhh
"I thought the Coffee Association show was pretty crazy with everybody on a caffeine buzz," muses Keith Armato, "but that doesn't even come close to a crowd this size hyped up on chocolate." The attendees, to be sure, are both plentiful and energetic.
1:30 PM and the booth is packed... looks like Joe's missing lunch today.
When asked how the show is going, account executive Joe Marlovits had this to say: "Extremely well. As usual, people are really impressed by the range of customization we offer, and on this trip, they seem to be particularly excited about the new window tins we're showing them. They've always been an option, but now that we regularly have drawn tins with window lids on hand in the warehouse, it's making them more accessible and more prominent."
A chocolatier prepares a fresh platter of samples at one booth... the entire batch survived all of 15 seconds.
VinCenzo will be exhibiting at the show through January 31st, so if you're in town, stop by to see us in the U.S. pavilion. "We're having a good time at this show," explains Keith, "the European crowd is always extremely diverse, and a lot of fun to deal with. Besides, we tend to be a little partial to conventions that give us an excuse to satisfy our collective sweet tooth." One look at the folks walking the floor, and it's a sure thing we're not the only ones.
