Candies, snacks, knick-knacks... and maybe a little jambalaya on the side.
As fun as international travel is, it's always nice to return home. After giving the passports a workout for the past couple of months, the VinCenzo crew is happy to be back in the states, or more specifically New Orleans, at the American Wholesale Marketers Association show. "It's a very diverse show," explains VinCenzo account executive Joe Marlovits. "For us, it's an opportunity to see a bunch of people who we wouldn't ordinarily run across in the show circuit." But today, the new faces weren't limited to exhibitors and potential customers.
Marching candy mascots and a New Orleans jazz band... an appropriate if slightly surreal way to kick off the show.
Alesha Van Linda, VinCenzo's newest sales coordinator, has joined the road crew for the week. Coming to VinCenzo from the world of market research, Alesha is cutting her teeth on the domestic convention scene before focusing on Europe, her passion and surrogate home. "On Wednesday, some guy on the street called me Eurotrash... it was great!" she says, happily finding a compliment where none was intended.

Of course, as with any convention, both new and old faces abound. Santa Fe Natural Tobacco, for whom VinCenzo has been producing a number of custom tins, is also exhibiting at the show.

VinCenzo's newest sales coordinator, Alesha Van Linda, oversees the booth.
Keith and Joe chat at the booth of one of our favorite customers.
And on the subject of faces, AWMA is a show that's always conducive to the stuffing thereof. Joe said it best when asked about his favorite non-business part of the show: "Two words... beef jerky."
VinCenzo will be at the AWMA show through February 17th, so stop by booth 1919 to say hi!
